With only three days to go, the momentum continues to build and for this weekend's World Wants a Real Deal global day of action. With thousands of candlelight vigils, signature walls, marches, concerts, and other events, Dec 11 to 13 is shaping up to be the most spectacular and powerful day for the global climate movement yet.

Only 2 weeks into organizing, we see over 2,200 events planned in more than 130 countries, truly amazing! Your raw creativity with these events is perhaps the most inspiring - in fact it's a key part of our strategy as we capture that passion with photos, videos, and stories that we'll make sure world leaders and the media can't ignore. Here are some of our favourite stories:

The eyes of the world are intensely focused here in Copenhagen, and on Saturday, over 60,000 people from around the world are expected to descend on Parliament Square to demand a real deal from world leaders. The event includes giant ship sails with climate messages displayed on buildings surrounding the square, and the biggest climate dance-off ever. People will march to the Bella Center (the site of the talks), where a special candlelit vigil will be held with The Elders, and a giant screen will show the day’s images and video from around the world.

London EyeIn London, England at five locations (Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace, Camden Lock, the London Eye and Wembley Stadium), people will be filmed next to a wall in these places with messages for leaders in Copenhagen. Later at Old Palace Yard, people will gather for a candlelight vigil and flash dance. The images collected from around the city that day will be made into a film and projected onto one of the walls of Parliament.

In New Delhi, India Greenpeace and a coalition of civil society groups will lead a march of thousands of people from all walks of life, starting at Rajghat (Gandhi's memorial in New Delhi) to the Indian Parliament Street to the sound of drums, plates and spoons and bells. They will deliver a charter of demands to the Prime Minister.

In Beirut, Lebanon, Indyact will unveil the message wall for people to sign their names for a real deal in a high profile event with local politicians, VIPs and celebrities. It will be located next to the COP countdown clock and as night falls a candlelight vigil will begin.

In Sydney, Australia, Oxfam will lead on building a large message wall featuring artwork by graffiti artists and colourful signatures for a real deal. The evening vigil will Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera Houseprocession to the Botanical Gardens in Sydney Harbour as part of Walk against Warming. Other Australian message events are will occur in Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.

In Manila, Philippines, a host of TckTckTck partners including WWF, Greenpeace and Oxfam will hold a few eye catching events, including the creation of a mural; the Red Alert on Climate Change call to action and an evening concert with famous Filipino artists.

In Johannesburg, Civicus, Greenpeace, Climate Justice Now and Earth Life Africa have joined forces for an event at Gauteng Legislature, which will include a rally, ‘funeral procession and mass die-in’ as well as a message wall and candlelight vigil for a real deal.

In Lima Peru, people will gather amid music, dance and art at Lighthouse Park in Miraflores to write their expectations and messages to politicians for a real deal in Copenhagen.

The Ark, being built right now in Washington Finally, as the USA continues to be the lynchpin standing in the way of a global climate deal, much of our focus in on events outside US consulates around the world, and inside the US. In Washington, DC, a coalition led by Avaaz Action Factories continues to build a giant Noah's Ark on the National Mall for people to sign their names to the call on world leaders to produce a real deal in Copenhagen. This will be followed by the largest candlelight vigil in the Western Hemisphere.

World Wants a Real Deal events are extremely easy to organize: all you need are some candles, a few (or a lot) of friends, an iconic location in your community, and a digital camera to take photos or videos so we can share them with the world. If you haven't found an event yet, check out our embeddable map to find one, or start your own! World leaders will listen if enough of us stand up.
