While in some ways the most inspiring images we've seen today show how global this event is - with thousands of photos from the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, it's also important for the wealthy western nations, what are called "Annex 1" nations in the UN Climate negotiations, to be showing that we are ready for a climate deal.
It's our leaders, largely, in the wealthy nations, that are blocking global progress towards a deal the most. So it's all the more important that we show them we are ready!
