The "Time for Climate Justice" campaign

The Global Humanitarian Forum (GHF) launched the ‘Time for Climate Justice’ campaign in collaboration with global advertising and communications group Havas/Euro RSCG Worldwide to raise awareness for the human impact of climate change in the run-up to the December 2009 Copenhagen climate talks. The campaign aims to create a global movement of Climate Allies, both high-profile personalities such as Kofi Annan, Desmond Tutu and Jet Li along with members of the general public, who want world leaders to reach a strong, binding and just agreement in Copenhagen.

What is Climate Justice?

Climate justice means justice for the hundreds of thousands that die every year because of climate change and for those whose communities and economies are ruined by cyclones, floods, droughts and crop failure. It is justice for the young and future generations who will face greater catastrophes if nothing is done today. Ultimately, everyone deserves climate justice because everyone will be adversely affected if the climate crisis is not addressed.

tck tck tck – Time for Climate Justice

GHF joined the tck tck tck coalition to raise awareness for the issue of climate justice in collaboration with the largest coalition of NGO committed to resolving the global climate crisis. GHF and its partner, Euro RSCG Worldwide, provided the common unifying creative symbol retained as the main creative route for the overarching tck tck tck campaign.

Human clock

You can become a Climate Ally and join the ‘tck tck tck - Time for Climate Justice’ campaign by uploading a video of yourself saying "tck" on www.timeforclimatejustice.org. We are creating the biggest human clock of all time that is ticking down the seconds to the start of COP15 – a symbol that time is running out and climate change has a human face. You can also become involved in the campaign in other ways. Download the logo and campaign material from our website and use it however you see fit. Put it on a t-shirt, use the banner on your blog or emails, download and pass on the campaign song ‘Beds ‘R Burning’ (available in October). You can also purchase some really cool individually numbered tck tags as worn by Kofi Annan and Climate Allies such as Bob Geldof and Lily Allen and other tck tck tck apparel from our online shop.
