Facebook 'Friendraiser'
We're trying to build the world's biggest and most diverse mandate, to show world leaders they can act on climate change because the people are ready for it. Do you have lots of friends on Facebook? Then you'll TckTckTck's new Facebook "Friend-raiser" tool! It enables you to sign the "I am ready" pledge inside of Facebook, but more importantly, to easily use your social network to recruit others.
Here's the fun part: you start by identifying somebody special in your life (your partner, children, etc) that are motivating why you care so much about global warming and climate change. With their photo and your personal note at the centre, you can then invite your Facebook friends to learn about TckTckTck and, if they are moved by your personal appeal, sign on.
Instead of raising funds, you're raising friends--get it? It's a simple app, and we hope it catches on. You also get a nifty badge to add to your Facebook profile, letting others know that you've said yes to a fair, ambitious, and binding agreement in Copenhagen. You can even identify one of our awesome partners to appear on your badge -- in case you are a fan of a global NGO like WWF, Oxfam, Avaaz, or any of our largest partners. And the most active recruiters are profiled on our Leaderboard page.
