Climate Week NYC in New York City, Sept. 20 - Sept. 26, 2009
The tcktcktck campaign joins the United Nations, the Government of Denmark, the City of New York, the United Nations Foundation, The Climate Group and the Carbon Disclosure Project in organizing Climate Week NY°C, a program of more than 50 city-wide events from September 20-26, 2009.
From large scale public gatherings to smaller policy focused initiatives, Climate Week NY°C events will demonstrate massive support for an ambitious, fair and binding international climate change treaty in Copenhagen in December 2009.
Climate Week NY°C includes a day-long UN Climate Change Summit on September 22 and the UN General Assembly meeting September 23-25.
With more than 100 heads of state expected to attend, it will be the largest-ever gathering of heads of state focused exclusively on climate change. Coming less than 80 days prior to Copenhagen, this summit must address the major sticking points in the current international negotiations.
