Representatives from TckTckTck and 350.org held an early morning protest Thursday in Bonn to draw attention to the impact of the oil industry on the UNFCCC climate negotiations. Team members dressed in hazmat suits, hoisted a 'Bonn Polluters' banner and greeted conference attendees on their way into the Hotel Maritim for another day of talks.

Will international climate negotiations get back on track in Bonn?Posted by: kevin Grandia

Will international climate negotiations get back on track in Bonn?

Government representatives from around the world opened a new session of negotiations today in Bonn, Germany to begin again the process of developing an international agreement that will significantly reduce worldwide greenhouse gas emissions and avoid the worst effects of climate change.

The big question on everyone's mind is: Will negotiations get back on track after the disappointing outcome at the last big round of talks in Copenhagen?

Help the Climate Movement Win a Webby Award!

We recently received the fantastic news that this website, TckTckTck.org, is nominated for Best Activism website in the Webby Awards. And we need your help to win!

Over the past year tcktcktck.org has been the hub of one of the biggest, most diverse movements in history; bringing together 15 million people in a call for a fair, ambitious and binding climate agreement at the COP15 conference in Copenhagen last December. While our leaders did not give the world the deal we wanted, the climate movement is only beginning.

Not the FAB deal we need, so we must fight onPosted by: kevin Grandia

Not the FAB deal we need, so we must fight on

The Copenhagen Accord is not the fair, ambitious and binding deal that the millions of us  from around the world told our political leaders we wanted.

The outcome of this two year process does not set scientific-based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, nor does it provide the required funding for developing nations to transition to a clean energy economy and adapt to the impending negative effects of climate change, like floods and droughts.

People fill the streets for climate action in BangkokPosted by: kevin Grandia

People fill the streets for climate action in Bangkok

I'm in Bangkok, Thailand this week covering the United Nation's meeting on climate change and as I'm going down to breakfast on my first morning here, I see thousands of everyday people filling the streets with colorful banner, costumes, megaphones and drums. They were all there to send a single message to world leaders: Take action on climate change now. And it was great to see many people using the TckTckTck brand in creative ways.

Huge media coverage for Global Climate Wake Up CallPosted by: kevin Grandia

Huge media coverage for Global Climate Wake Up Call

Wow. It's been quite a day. Over 2,682 events were held in 134 countries today to wake up the world to climate change.

Organized by TckTckTck partners and amazing individuals from every walk of life, the Global Climate Wake Up Call garnered a monsterous amount of news coverage - there will be very few world leaders that will pick up their local newspaper or turn on their local news channel and NOT see people in the streets telling them to wake up and be the leaders we need them to be on this important issue.
