TckTckTck at Avatar’s ‘HomeTree’ Earth Day event in Los Angeles

• May 5, 2010

Representatives from TckTckTck, 350 and 10:10 joined Avatar director James Cameron, LA Mayor Antonio Villaragosa and hundreds of students for an Earth Day screening of Avatar at the Nokia Theater in Hollywood on April 22, 2010.

Dubbed the ‘HomeTree’ event, the celebration was in honor of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day and featured live music, a screening of eco-highlights from Avatar, and a question and answer session with James Cameron and selected Avatar cast members, including Michelle Rodriguez.

TckTckTck and 350 both gave short presentations before the screening discussing the climate action movement and encouraging people to sign up for the 10:10:10 Global Work Party. As an added incentive for students to participate, some of the attending celebrities promised they would join them at a work party at their school or in their neighborhood if they came up with cool projects.
